Covid-19 Precautions

For the safety and protection of our loved ones,

only fully vaccinated guests are invited to attend the in-person events.

As an alternative, we are offering a live stream of the ceremony so that no one is excluded from the celebration. Because we will be sharing a meal together in an intimate space, we believe this is an important tool to help minimize the risk of spread associated with such a gathering. That said, we realize this can only minimize and not eliminate the risk, so we encourage in-person guests to take any additional personal precautions you deem necessary such as wearing masks, physical distancing where practicable, and sitting with your party. Of course, the safest option is to avoid in-person attendance altogether and enjoy the livestream, which we encourage everyone to do, regardless of your vaccination status. We offer this alternative out of care and love and we will not be hurt, should you opt for the livestream. You will be with us in spirit!

Please contact Alan and Erika if you have any questions or concerns.

CURRENT LOCAL CONDITIONS

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID tracker, BA.5 is the predominant strain of COVID-19. It is more easily spread than other strains because it evades immunity from past COVID-19 infection and vaccination. That means even if you were infected with delta or omicron BA.1, you can still get BA.5. Your previous immunity does not protect you from the latest strain.

New research finds that with each repeat COVID infection – even asymptomatic infection – your risk for complications increases. This includes an increased risk for:

  • stroke

  • heart attack

  • diabetes

  • digestive and kidney disorders

  • long-term cognitive impairment, including dementia

Each reinfection also carries with it the risk of long COVID or ongoing COVID symptoms that can last for weeks or months after infection.
